Treasurer (RNLI Coleraine Branch)
Location Coleraine
Description The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around NI. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, we are committed to saving lives. It costs around £410,000 a day to run the RNLI, all of which is generously donated by the public. This might sound like a lot, but we think the 24 people rescued a day (on average) are worth it. The overall role of a treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisationís financial affairs, ensuring its viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.  To oversee and present budgets, accounts and financial statements.  To present financial reports to the committee.  To make a presentation of the accounts at the annual general meeting (AGM).  To advise on the fundraising strategy of the organisation.  Experience of financial control and budgeting.  Good communication and interpersonal skills. Meetings are generally held once per month. 18+
