Description The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around NI. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, we are committed to saving lives. It costs around 410,000 a day to run the RNLI, all of which is generously donated by the public. This might sound like a lot, but we think the 24 people rescued a day (on average) are worth it. The role of the secretary is to support the chair in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Management Committee  To prepare agendas in consultation with the Chair  To circulate agendas  To receive agenda items from other committee members.  To minute meetings and circulate the draft minutes to all committee members.  To ensure arrangements for meetings are met Qualities and Skills Required  Organisational ability.  Minute-taking experience  Good communication and interpersonal skills.  Impartiality, fairness and the ability to respect confidences.  Approachable and sensitive to the feelings of others.  Well organised and an eye for detail.  Ability to work well with the Chair.  Good time-keeping. Meetings are generally once per month. 18+
