Animal Care Volunteer

Rosie’s Trust supports people who are terminally ill, older people and cancer patients who have companion pets they are struggling to look after independently. Our primary aim is to keep the owner and their pet together! 

Role Description:

  • We need volunteers to visit individuals in their own homes to walk dogs, feed cats, empty litter trays, clean out bird cages, take pets to visit the vets etc.
  • Our volunteers are all animal lovers who understand the importance of the 'connection' between owner and their pet and simply want to support fellow animal lovers who are finding the practicalities of caring for their pet too difficult.

Additional:

  • All our volunteers go through an application process, including references and an Access NI check. 
  • We offer induction training and support you throughout your volunteering experience.
  • Days/times required We operate 7 days a week.
  • Are there any specific requirements: minimum age 18years.
