Concern Ambassador Programme (Concern Worldwide)
Location Throughout Northern Ireland
Description Concern Worldwide need committed volunteers to spread the message of global hunger, and motivate people to act locally in small and big ways. We would like you to join our new team of volunteer representatives speaking in your local communities. Concern Ambassadors will deliver a special audio visual presentation to local groups, schools and clubs, with support from Concern staff. We are looking for volunteers to go out in their community and give talks about Concern, to help motivate and inspire local people to get involved. How will Ambassadors help Concern? As you play your part as a Concern Ambassador: •you will inspire change for the world’s poorest people •you will help people who suffer from chronic hunger, as well as those experiencing hunger because of emergencies. By speaking about Concern you will help people understand the global problem of hunger and motivate more people to get involved with Concern. We want to help you too! We will provide comprehensive training and an Ambassador Handbook with everything you need to take up this new challenge. When will Concern Ambassadors begin their role? 1.1 August 2016: Ambassador applications open 2.30th September 2016: Ambassador application deadline 3.3-7th October: Concern’s team will meet all Ambassador applicants in person 4.12-13 November 2016: Ambassadors residential training event
