Campaigners Active Network Volunteer (RNIB)
Location Throughout Northern Ireland
Description

Do you have sight loss? Are you interested in lobbying on issues that affect people with sight loss?

We are looking for volunteers to be part of our campaigns group that is led by blind and partially sighted people. We will offer valuable relevant training in media, campaigning and lobbying.

Role Description:

What you will be doing?

  • Plan and action local campaigns,
  • Help organise campaign events,
  • Publicising agreed campaigns.
  • Building links with relevant decision makers and stake holders.
  • Help organise, administrate and facilitate CAN meetings
  • Plan and action local campaigns.

What skills and experience are needed?

  • Effective listening skills
  • Good knowledge of the local area
  • Good organisational skills
  • Interest in Campaigning.
