Causeway Volunteer Centre Training

Causeway Volunteer Centre runs a number of training courses that help people engage with the local community and voluntary sector.  Although primarily concerned with training for volunteers we are happy to accept paid workers on our training courses.

We do our best to ensure that training is appropriate, demand responsive and affordable.

Appropriate

Our training is based on the needs of groups, trainers are adequately qualified to run the courses, records and evaluations are kept and certificates are provided

Demand Responsive

As many groups need training for just a few people at a time we liaise with other groups to recruit sufficient numbers to run the course without a long delay.

If you have a large group (13 or more) requiring training we can usually organise this within a very short time

This 4-week programme has been devised with local organisations in mind.  Causeway Volunteer Centre has been taking note of what organisations need support with and has based the training on this.  While it will cover all aspects of involving volunteers, the group will be able to influence the programme.  It is anticipated that completing this course will lead to a local quality standard award in involving volunteers.  Causeway Volunteer Centre is in discussion with Causeway Coast and Glens Council about this.

Additional Courses

In addition to the above regular courses Causeway Volunteer Centre also runs additional courses based on demand or availability
