BallintoyVolunteer to issue “Over the Bridge” Certificates - Carrick a Rede
Carrick-a-Rede is an iconic site on a spectacular coastline. It draws tourists from all parts of the world to cross the famous Rope Bridge.
Visitors who cross the bridge can buy “Over the Bridge” Certificates from Reception as a souvenir of their visit. A volunteer is required to sell the certificates and provide information to visitors. Full training will be given as required.
Carrick a Rede is situated near Ballycastle, about 1 mile from Ballintoy village.
Anticipated time contribution: By arrangement
Expenses: Reimbursement of out-of-pocket travel costs between home and volunteering location, and other reasonable expenses agreed with the National Trust manager.
Purpose of role: To issue “Over the Bridge” Certificates and to support the Carrick a Rede Team.
Key Elements:
- Selling “Over the Bridge” Certificates. Chatting with visitors and providing information about Carrick-A- Rede.
- Advising visitors about facilities in the wider area- other tourist attractions, places to stay, places to eat, entertainment etc.
- Encouraging membership of the National Trust and helping to sign visitors up as members
- Working in compliance with the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
