Marie Curie helper service supports terminally ill people (and their families) in their last 12 months of life, by matching them with trained volunteers who can offer support of up to 3 hours a week. This might include companionship, emotional support, practical support, signposting, short periods of respite for carers and bereavement support for up to 3 months following the death of their loved one. This role is wide ranging and the support you offer will vary according to the needs of those using the service.
