General Volunteer

Causeway Coast Special Olympics Club is a multi-sport club that provides year round sports training and competition for people with an intellectual disability

Role Description:

A general volunteer role will cover a number of tasks including:

  • Equipment set up and tear down
  • Registration and welcoming athletes and volunteers
  • Inducting new volunteers
  • Supervision of athletes during activities
  • Serving refreshments
  • No previous experience is required for this role

Desirable Skills:

  • Good planning
  • Organisational and communication skills would be beneficial but not essential
  • Confident swimmer with experience of being in a swimming pool


  • Location: Coleraine Leisure Centre
  • Time required: Thursday from 6pm to 8:30pm
  • Volunteers must be 15 years old to register
  • All new volunteers will receive a general induction in the club before they start their role and will be offered additional training on an ongoing basis
