Action On Hearing Loss

Be The Change Volunteer

Action on Hearing Loss’s vision is of a world where deafness and hearing loss are not barriers to opportunity and fulfilment. Currently there are 300 000 people in Northern Ireland with a hearing loss, that is approximately 1 in 6 people. Action on Hearing Loss aims to offer local support to everyone with hearing loss throughout Northern Ireland.

Can you spare 2 hours per month?

2 hours per month could:

  • Support an isolated older person with a much needed befriender,
  • Your local community with a hearing aid support session,
  • Your local hospital with an information stand
  • Raise vital funds through a fundraising event

We are appealing for local volunteers who would be interested in providing practical support to people with hearing loss, deafness and tinnitus in their local community. If you can spare 2 hours in the month and you would like to learn new skills, meet new people and make a difference to someone’s life, we would love to hear from you. Can you ‘be the change’ you want to see in your local community?
