Role Description:

This role will aid us to recruit volunteers, engage the public in the work of the National Trust and help at volunteering events.

What's involved?

  • Helping to promote the National Trust. This might include delivering posters/leaflets in local areas, attending local meetings and events
  • Helping recruit volunteers for specific roles that the property has available
  • Using local knowledge to assist the Trust to link to local groups and other organisations
  • Supporting the promotion of the National Trust. This might include attending events to hand out information and talk to members of the public
  • Meeting with other Outreach and Engagement Volunteers and the Volunteering and Community Involvement team to discuss ideas and actions to take forward
  • Being familiar with our health and safety procedures and data protection rules, you'll comply with all regulations and policies
  • As part of the volunteer team , you may wish to join in with other events, roles and activities run by the property too

Additional Information:

  • Time commitment: a minimum of one hour per month
  • All equipment necessary will be provided
  • Uniform provided(subject to availability)
  • Reimbursement of out of pocket travel costs between home and volunteering location in accordance with National Trust policy and agreed with the National Trust manager.
