Kite Festival Events Volunteers, 29th July to 4th August 2019

This high flying spectacle returns as a week long festival on the North Coast (Portstewart Strand and Downhill Demesne), offering fun for all the family as a kaleidoscope of kites of all shapes and sizes take to the skies over this stunning coastal estate.

From working in the car park to the craft tent and welcoming our visitors, there are so many ways to immerse yourself in our biggest event of the year. Spend part of your day volunteering and enjoy the rest of your time at the festival for free!

What's involved?

  • Engaging with visitors
  • Preparing and leading activities e.g. children’s crafts
  • Practical help with signage, moving tables, putting up gazebos, etc.
  • Making sure the event runs smoothly and safely

This role will suit you if you are:

  • Good team player.
  • Calm in busy situations
  • Someone who enjoys meeting people and working with families
  • Cheerful, positive and keen to help
  • Willing to get stuck into anything on a busy day, even when the weather’s not on your side

By getting involved, you could:

  • Gain practical experience working as part of a team.
  • Gain insight into the planning, setup and delivery of events.
  • Meet lots of new people and have fun delivering great experiences
All volunteers will be entered into a draw to get a helicopter ride at the end of the day on Sunday.
