Volunteer Group Worker

CAN are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who are passionate about working with young people in particular those with learning, social and communication difficulties. The role will involve supporting group activities for children and young people aged 12 to 25 that have a learning disability or autism.

Group activities will include life skill workshops and community experiences, training, local trips and educational day outings including a one night residential. The group activities will be led and supervised by the Project Youth Officer.

  • commitment of 1 - 2 sessions per month
  • Location: 20 Seymour Street, Ballymoney
  • Age 16+

Additional Information:

This role will enable you to develop your skills and confidence in working with small groups of children and young people with autism or a learning disability within a supportive environment. You will receive an induction of the volunteering venue and awareness sessions relevant to the volunteering role.
