Garvagh People’s Forest has as its mission to grow value in
the forest with and for local people with a simple premise: time outside makes
us feel better and when we feel better we are in a better place to do
interesting things for ourselves and with others.
Forest School is a unique learning experience that offers
children and young people regular opportunities to achieve and develop
confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in a natural
environment. Garvagh People’s Forest delivers Forest School sessions to 3
pre-schools and 6 primary schools within the Garvagh catchment area. Currently
we are delivering 4 sessions per term for each school on Wednesday morning and
Thursday morning and afternoon in Garvagh Forest.
