About the Role

Coleraine Cougars Basketball Club is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Social Media Officer to help raise awareness of the club and celebrate the achievements of our athletes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting an inclusive sports club and engaging with the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the club's social media platforms.
  • Create and schedule engaging content.
  • Promote fixtures, training sessions, events, and fundraising activities.
  • Share athlete achievements, club news, and success stories.
  • Capture photos and videos at training sessions and events where possible.
  • Respond to messages and online enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Help increase community engagement and grow the club's online presence.

Skills and Experience

We welcome applications from anyone with:

  • Good communication skills.
  • A creative approach to content creation.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An interest in sport, inclusion, and community development.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential.
