BallymoneyArmoy Youth Club – Volunteer Role Description
Purpose of the Role:
To support the delivery of fun, safe, and engaging activities for young people in Armoy, helping to create a welcoming environment that encourages participation, creativity, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and facilitation of arts and crafts activities
- Lead or support games, sports, and interactive group sessions
- Help deliver STEM, cooking, or other themed activities
- Supervise and engage positively with young people during sessions
- Support outdoor activities and outings, including walks and trips
- Encourage respectful behaviour and help uphold club rules
- Foster a friendly, inclusive atmosphere that empowers young participants
Skills & Qualities:
- No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a genuine interest in supporting young people
- Helpful attributes include creativity, teamwork, reliability, and a sense of fun
- Experience in youth work, arts, sports, or community programmes is welcome but not essential
Commitment & Support:
- Volunteers will receive full induction training
- ACCESS NI checks will be arranged and covered
- Ongoing support provided by the Armoy Youth Club team
