Overview
Good Morning Causeway is a free, confidential telephone care and alert service supporting older people and vulnerable adults across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough. Our morning calls offer companionship, reassurance, and a vital wellbeing check—helping reduce isolation and build a stronger sense of community.
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our team and help deliver this valued service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Telephone Volunteer, you will:
- Make morning calls to registered service users between 9am and 12noon
- Offer a listening ear, friendly conversation, and emotional support
- Help monitor wellbeing and raise alerts if needed
- Use basic IT skills to log call outcomes and maintain accurate records
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be:
- A morning person with a pleasant and reassuring telephone manner
- Comfortable chatting with older people and building rapport
- Reliable, empathetic, and respectful of confidentiality
- Able to use basic IT systems (training provided)
