Volunteer Walk Leader – Portstewart (Walking for All)

Location: Portstewart (Nuns Walk route)
Time Commitment: Tuesdays, 7:00pm (approx. 1 hour per week)

About the Role

Walking for All is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Volunteer Walk Leader to support its welcoming Tuesday evening walking group in Portstewart. This is a shared role alongside an experienced Walk Leader, helping ensure the continued success and growth of the group.

Key Responsibilities

As a Volunteer Walk Leader, you will:

• Help lead a weekly 45-minute walk along an established route
• Welcome participants and create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere
• Take a simple attendance register at the start of each walk
• Encourage participation and support new members
• Help promote the walk locally to grow the group
• Support community health, wellbeing, and social connection

What We’re Looking For

• An interest in walking and the outdoors
• A friendly, reliable, and approachable manner
• Good communication skills
• A willingness to support others in a group setting

No previous experience is required full training and support provided.
