Volunteers’ Week takes place from 1st to 7th June, and Causeway Volunteer Centre, in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and Limavady Volunteer Centre, will mark the occasion with a series of celebratory events recognising the outstanding contribution volunteers make to communities across Causeway Coast and Glens.

This year carries added significance, as the United Nations has designated 2026 as the Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, highlighting the global importance of volunteering in building stronger, more resilient societies.

EPIC Awards – Celebrate Your Volunteers All Year Round

As part of our ongoing commitment to recognising volunteering, Causeway and Limavady Volunteer Centres also delivers EPIC Awards a free volunteer recognition programme open to volunteers of all ages.

Volunteers can achieve awards for completing:

  • 50 hours
  • 100 hours
  • 200 hours
    within a calendar year.

It’s a simple, meaningful way to celebrate the dedication and impact of your volunteers and a perfect complement to Volunteers’ Week.

We encourage groups to register their volunteers and help them gain the recognition they deserve.

We look forward to celebrating with you and recognising the incredible volunteers who make such a difference across our Borough.
